Bashir A Khan, DVM, MVSc

Veterinarian

Dr. Khan was born and raised in a pet-loving family and has been passionate, committed, and dedicated to helping animals since childhood. As a youngster, he recognized his love for animals and his interest in the field of veterinary medicine. A growing interest and life-long passion for helping animals encouraged him to enroll in a school of veterinary medicine despite being offered admission to a medical school.

Dr. Khan graduated from SKUAST — J in 2010. After graduation, he entered into a master’s program in the field of Veterinary Surgery & Radiology at the College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Mannuthy, Thrissur, Kerala, India, which he completed with high honors in 2012. As a part of his master’s program, Dr. Khan researched “Efficacy of Sevoflurane Anesthesia in Pediatric Dogs.” He enrolled in the Veterinary Clinical Training program at Boren Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, Oklahoma State University (OSU), and completed the program in May of 2014. Dr. Khan has also completed a training program with the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) to learn and advance in the field of veterinary acupuncture for small animals and equines.

After becoming a practicing licensed veterinarian in the United States, Dr. Khan began his career as an emergency veterinarian in Virginia in 2015. He has worked at many different emergency and urgent care facilities and small animal emergency hospitals and expanded his clinical knowledge and skills in the fields of small animal emergency medicine and small animal surgery. Dr. Khan is also competent and has special interests in the fields of small animal emergency medicine, small animal surgery, small animal internal medicine, and small animal dentistry.

Outside of work, Dr. Khan enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Janet

Veterinary Assistant

Janet has always had a love for animals and has never taken the happiness they’ve brought her for granted. Raised in Egypt, she graduated from Beni-Suef University in 2004. In 2017, Janet and her family relocated to United States. She is very excited about her opportunity to work as Veterinary Assistant at Small Animal Emergency Hospital of Westfield, Inc. Janet brings passion, experience, and knowledge to our team.

Outside of work, Janet stays busy raising her three beautiful children, reading books, biking, and playing volleyball.

Jamie Farmer

Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Hello, I’m Jamie, a mother of three and devoted pet owner to Chase, my seven-year-old German shepherd. With a lifelong passion for animals, my aspiration is to become a veterinarian. Additionally, I run a small online children’s boutique and prioritize family time, actively participating in my children’s activities.

Victoria Azimova

Veterinary Assistant

My name is Victoria.  I joined the Small Animal Emergency Hospital of Westfield, INC. in September 2024. I love my job and embrace the unique challenges each day brings. The best part of working with animals is the ability to translate my deep empathy into meaningful actions, ensuring their well-being through hands-on care and passionate advocacy.

Outside of work, I find joy in my family life with my son, daughter, and beloved partner. At home, we have three fur babies: our Pomeranian Poofy and two orange tabby boys, “Little Kitty” and “Big Kitty.”

Kassandra Rodriguez

Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Hello, I’m Kassy, I’m from Texas. A small town called Edcouch-Elsa. I Graduated from High School in 2015. My parents own a ranch where we have goats and horses. And a Great Dane named Rocky. I grew up loving and caring for a horse I named TroyBlue. He was my forever friend throughout my teen years. That’s when I knew I had the love and passion to help animals. I am very excited about this opportunity to work as a veterinary assistant/receptionist at Small Animal Emergency Hospital of Westfield. Outside of work, I’m a mother of four wonderful children. We love going to the park, enjoying the outdoors, spending family time, and having movie nights.
